The drawing is finished and it is the best thing in the painting. It will be under two more sessions of oil by Friday. This is the part of the job that never stops being a small bereavement.

Rejected two rolls for the weave and one for the sizing. The one I kept is heavier than I usually work on and it has already changed how much oil the first pass will take.
